Elizabeth Murray
She is not a photographer but her style of painting and her use of shapes in her paintings are very inspiring. She does not limit herself to a square or circular canvas and her works are usually quirky in my opinion, and as a whole tell a narrative. I feel photography works the same way that one image can tell a whole possibility of stories and that the photographer shouldn't limit themselves to what is considered "normal" like a portrait of a family smiling. As a painting major I want my work to have a style like hers do.
